This magical gem has powers from the divination (Fire Opal Eye) / enchantment (Black Opal Eye) school, allowing you to cast certain spells from this school a limited number of times per day. The identify spell reveals the following information: Wondrous items, legendary (require attunement by an arcane spellcaster)Ĭharacters cannot learn the properties of these gems through focusing on them during a short rest. Of the pair, only the Fire Opal Eye remains in their possession, still in the Lake of Lost Dreams today in AC 1000. The line of Seers did subsequently arise again, but without access to the Black Opal Eye (believing it lost or destroyed). With the sudden death of Elyas, the chain of Seers was broken. The local elves honoured his sacrifice by building a temple there. The witches and the Black Opal Eye were trapped, but Elyas was killed.
